– Most backpackers will be seen buying Chinese motorbikes which are cheap and unstable. We have only genuine motorbikes. We want real drivers who look after and understand our fleet just like we do.

– All motorbikes are purchased new by Vietnambestbikes and registered under the company. This helps with some paperwork problems that can happen on the road.

  • This is the registration document of the bike which will show whose bike is. Our bikes are registered to our company. So if you have problems with the police, just call us and we will tell them you are on our bike.
  • If you rent a bike from us, you don’t need to carry the blue card with you. When needed, a rental contract is enough to show that you haven’t stolen the bike.
  • Firstly, you must check if your IDP lists Vietnam as one of the countries it is valid for. If yes, you should bring your original IDP with and show police when needed.
  • Police rarely stop non-Vietnamese for traffic violations. However, if they do, mostly you would be fined, usually around 15 $ and then sent on your way

– Yes, each bike comes with one helmet. We have a range of helmets available in the shop but be aware that ours are not really as good quality as those you have back home so if you are careful or have a strange head size, you should bring your own helmet.

– There are shops on every street corner selling helmets because motorbikes are the main mean of transportation in Vietnam.
  • No, we do not. If you lose the bike, you are 100 % responsible foe replacement. There is no way to get insurance in Vietnam. Be careful, and only park in areas with a guard who gives you a ticket for receipt the bike
  • Yes, We can spend sometime to show you how the bike works and how to drive basically. This is not a formal training but mostly people pick up the basic skills.
  • After that, you need practice more yourself on less challenging roads before moving to the crowds.

– Yes, it’s dangerous but millions of people do it every day. You can control the amount of risk by driving carefully.
